Wow, Nik!! Those pictures are incredible! Seems like you've got a few things going for you-
1. You are having a great trip, have a cool travel partner who is into doing fun things, and you survived your (bungee?) jump!
2. Turns out you are loved by massive iguanas... who knew? Guess that's the kind of thing you needed to leave New York to discover.
3. The Eagles actually pulled out a big win and McNabb was ridiculous (big shock--the Bills got smoked by the Pats--just in case you were wondering).

How awesome it is to see your pics and hear your stories. I just know I'd scream seeing an iquana under my bed. I love that you name them!

Looks like you're living with lots of beautiful scenery. What was the name of the great watefall, Devil something? It looked amazing. Hearing it must have been a rush! As for the rush you must have felt when jumping from the bridge, my hat is off! You go girl!

I enjoyed hearing you describe the men running from the mountains. Must have been a neat moment to experience. The postcards you mentioned immediately came to mind and I could see the vibrant colors.

Is surfing big in the little village of Puerto Lopez (Rico?)? Saw your host bro with a board and wondered if lots of folks are skilled in/on the surf.

Hadn't realized how much traveling you'd get to do. Glad that you're seeing so much. What I learned from you today was that Quito isn't the largest city in Ecuador. Silly of me to assume it was.

I'll continue to look forward to your postings. Happy traveling!!!!! Love, DS
